In light of Zayed Humanitarian Day, Sharjah Girl Guides (SGG) launched two volunteering programmes under its Spread Happiness initiative, coinciding with other charitable efforts implemented across the UAE.

In a bid to help those less fortunate than themselves, young guides and brownies mingled with and supported child cancer patients at Dubai Hospital, whilst also volunteering for Ramadan Aman's road safety campaign, aiming to save lives during Iftar rush hour by distributing light meals to drivers.

"Fostering social and community responsibility, and promoting values of compassion and charity form the cornerstone of what we stand for at SGG," informed Shaikha Abdulaziz Al Shamsi, assistant manager, SGG.
