Domestic passenger traffic rose 5.4 percent over April 2016, while accumulated global passenger traffic for the first four months of the year jumped 6.7 percent.
Despite the strong climb of 13 percent observed in the Middle East, the region is expected to be impacted in the coming months due to restrictions on electronic devices on route to North America.
Meanwhile, air freight volumes also rose six percent during the month under review, and climbed 7.7 percent during the period January – April.
