Sabre Tests Intelligent Travel Technology

In partnership with Microsoft, Sabre has announced the development of an artificial intelligence-powered chatbot set to add intelligent and conversational features to its applications, in a bid to enhance customer service and interaction through smart technology.


Initially being tested with two travel agencies and their clients, the trial period aims to evaluate the chatbot’s ability to offer travellers self-service solutions for the most common requests such as changing an existing flight reservation.

The company further plans to design the prototype which will enable travellers to directly shop, book and engage with hoteliers though the most common messaging platforms, such as Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Twitter, and SMS.
