According to Airports Council International Asia Pacific, passenger traffic in the Middle East regained strength during November 2016, with a year-on-year rise of 12.3 percent.

Hamad International Airport (HIA) led the growth, with a surge of 23.3 percent compared to the same month in 2015, making it the highest monthly increase in the first 11 months of 2016.

Meanwhile, Dubai International Airport achieved a jump of 9.4 percent in passengers during the aforementioned period.

The Middle East also delivered robust results in terms of air freight which rose 9.9 percent, with the Doha and Dubai hubs both recording significant gains, up 24.6 percent and 7.5 percent, respectively.
