The system does not only improve efficiency by ensuring that all buses are fully utilised, but also reduces the number of trips by 20 percent, therefore reducing congestion, fuel burn and emissions.
Commenting on the new technology, Bryan Thompson, senior vice president, development, Dubai Airports, said, "The system is fail-safe, and provides a fully automated solution to coordinate bus scheduling which in turn reduces wait times for departing passengers."
