The survey conducted was implemented in October 12 – 24, 2016, with a collective sample of 2,179 tourists, via face-to-face interviews at 10 airports.
Results showed that 67 percent of participants indicated that the country exceeded their expectations with a further 60 percent marking the country as an established destination.
Over half of the interviewers stated that they will visit again and will share their experiences.
Mild weather, gastronomic offerings, reasonable pricing and less bustling, make Greece a preferred holiday destination in the autumn months with space for improvement in the support structure for the tourist products, meaning roads, infrastructure, and cleanliness amid others.
