Commenting on the initiative, Yuri Natychko, head, household and hotel services, Minsk City Hall, emphasised, “So far in Belarus there are no companies authorised to certify hotels for compliance with the standards of the China Friendly project. Russia has such companies. I think that Belarus will also have such companies soon.”
Hotels in the capital are working to further improve the quality of their services for Chinese visitors, including the translation of the resorts’ websites and brochures, hiring staff able to speak the language as well as providing free access to international Chinese television channels.
