In the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2016 Hertz Global Holdings reported a loss from continuing operations and a revenue declines reflecting the overall financial performance in 2016.

Q4 2016 brought a net loss from continuing operations of USD438 million (EUR408 million), compared to the USD37 million (EUR34.5 million ) net loss figure during Q4 2015.

The company also experienced a one percent decline in revenues during the reviewed period, year-on-year.

Kathryn Marinello, president, Hertz Global Holdings, explained, "The company's 2016 performance resulted from issues around fleet and service, which we are addressing.

[…] This year's investments in fleet, service, marketing and technology will be the catalyst to ultimately generating steady top-line growth."
