The Fjords Revealed Eco-Friendly Vessel

The Norwegian ship operator The Fjords has unveiled a ground breaking all-electric and emission free passenger vessel Future of The Fjords, scheduled to set sail to UNESCO listed Western Norway fjords in April 2018.

The guests on board the silent-running ship will have an opportunity to experience the spectacular fjords while decreasing the environmental impact.

Currently under construction, the vessel is designed to mimic the zigzagging mountain paths, allowing cruisers to engage with the sensations of the fjords.

Built from carbon fiber, with a special hull that minimises wake and reduces shoreline impact erosion, the 400-passenger capacity vessel, with 700 scheduled year-round voyages, marks an important step forward for environmentally-friendly cruise operation.
