For the period January – August of this year, revenue from tourism is estimated at EUR235,6 million compared to EUR1.856,8 million in the corresponding period of 2019, recording a decrease of 87,3 percent.
The expenditure per person for August reached EUR681,81 compared to EUR779,31 in the corresponding month of 2019, recording a decrease of 12,5 percent. Additionally, the daily expenditure per person for August compared to August 2019 recorded a decrease of 36,8 percent (from EUR78,72 to EUR49,77).

On the basis of the results of the Cyprus Passenger Survey carried out by the Statistical Service, revenue from tourism in August of this year reached EUR71,1 million compared to EUR431,6 million in the corresponding month of 2019, recording a decrease of 83,5 percent.
