UK travel professionals are due to have a strong presence at this year's Arabian Travel Market to tap in to the key role that Middle Eastern travellers are forecasted to play in the UK's tourism growth.

With the region already being an important source market, Simon Press, senior exhibition director, Arabian Travel Market, illustrated, "The UK is a close partner of the UAE and wider Middle East region, in both tourism and trade, welcoming more than one million visitors from January – October 2016, a year-on-year increase of four percent."

Furthermore, in the first five months of 2016, Middle Eastern visitors' expenditure totalled 38 percent of the overall UK tax free spend, a year-on-year jump of 11 percent.
