In a report commissioned by Experience Oxfordshire, it was shown that in 2015, the tourism industry supported 33,447 jobs in the county, a boost of 4.2 percent compared to 2014.

The Economic Impact Report of Tourism for Oxfordshire also revealed that during the year under review, hotels welcomed a five percent rise in overnight stays, with a 4.1 percent increase in the value of such stays.

Whilst mirroring the national trend of unchanged domestic visitors, their length of stay rose 3.4 percent, while expenditure grew some four percent.

On the other hand, overseas arrivals soared eight percent, with a surge in both nights per trip and expenditure, up 10 percent and three percent, respectively.
