Pacific Jewel Sets Sails from Auckland

Marking the start of the region’s Spring, P&O Cruises’ Pacific Jewel has arrived to Auckland, where it will be based for the next two months as a part of the inaugural New Zealand season.

The 70,310 tonne vessel started sailing with a three-night Food and Wine cruise, which will be followed by a further seven roundtrip voyages from the city before its departure on October 31.

Accommodating 1950 guests, the ship features 200 private balcony rooms and mini-suites, an indulgent spa, multiple dining venues and a variety of onboard activities including the action-packed P&O Edge Adventure Park.

During its maiden season, the vessel is expected to welcome some 20,000 guests including 15,000 first-time cruisers enjoying short three- and four-night breaks and longer itineraries to the South Pacific.
