British Airways to Launch Flights to Osaka

Japan National Tourism Organization Is pleased to share the news that British Airways will launch a direct flight between London and Osaka early in 2019, ahead of the Japan Rugby World Cup.

Operations on the new route will commence on March 31, 2019, departing from Heathrow Terminal 5 and landing into Osaka's Kansai International Airport (KIX). With four flights per week, the service will increase the daily number of flights between London and Japan offered by British Airways and joint partner Japan Airlines to 32 per week.

KIX serves the entire Kansai region of Japan, including Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe. A direct flight from London to Osaka now makes it even easier for incentives to experience both the modern capital of Tokyo and the traditional capital of Kyoto, with direct flights in and out of these cities available.
Conference organisers also now have even more choice for venues with direct access, including the brand-new convention centre set to open in Nara in 2020.

Japan Airlines will offer a code share on the new service and the route will be operated by one of British Airways' newest aircraft, the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.
