Hotels in Canada reported positive results in the three key performances metric during the third quarter of the year (Q3) according to data from STR.

The hotel industry in the state demonstrated positive year-on-year performance with occupancy rising more than 1.8 percent reflecting 78.7 percent while ADR reached CAD137.35 (USD108.48) and RevPAR rose 7.6 percent.

August was the strongest month of the quarter, in both absolute terms and year-over-year growth, for occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR.

The absolute occupancy level was the highest for a Q3 in Canada since 1999.

Moreover STR analysts forecasted continued performance growth for the country with demand helped by celebrations around the 150th anniversary of Confederation.
