Visa Boosts Network of Digital Partners

Visa has announced 13 new partners to participate in its token service provider programme, which replaces cardholder information with a unique digital identifier, as the payments industry shifts from plastic to digital.


Through the network of global partners adhering to the scheme’s standards, the company aims to guarantee the security of digital payment services regardless of payment device, in response to the rising demand for payments to be embedded into a growing number of appliances.


“A potential tidal wave of new payment accounts is approaching […], so having both the partner network and the right technology in place are fundamental to driving payments on those devices,” said Jim McCarthy, executive vice president, innovation and strategic partnerships, Visa.
