Tourico Holidays reported a 93 percent overall increase in Asia-Pacific hotel bookings for this year compared to 2016.

Indonesia leads the Asia-Pacific market in annual growth, with bookings up 111 percent while China, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia and Thailand have also experienced a sharp increase compared to 2016.

Meanwhile, North America increased its bookings to the region by 53 percent with the US jumping 46 percent year-over-year and Canada growing by 98 percent.

As the demand for Asia-Pacific hotel product continues to rise, the company has strategically added local rooms to its inventory.

“The Asia-Pacific travel market has advanced at an unprecedented rate [this year] and there are no real signs of a slow-down”, said Hillary Wang, regional director, product development, North Asia, Tourico Holidays.
