ASTA Unveils Opinions of American Travellers

The American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) shed light onto perceptions of American travellers in its recent study How America Travels, which revealed reactions to changing political landscapes currently shaping the industry.

Among other findings, the survey confirmed that 71 percent of American travellers would most likely not change the decision to travel abroad because of travel bans, however, 55 percent of respondents still believe that the restrictions will make US tourists feel less welcome in foreign countries, including Mexico.

Zane Kerby, CEO, ASTA, explained, “Our research shows Americans’ passion to travel is stronger than ever and we believe travellers deserve complete transparency from all vendors involved in the booking process, including from the government itself.”
