An official announcement said Moxy Times Square would soon be followed by Moxy Downtown and Moxy Chelsea.
“These two new hotels will both have a distinct style and personality, reflective of the culturally-rich neighbourhoods they are located in,” commented Toni Stoeckl, global brand leader, Marriott International.
Anticipated to open this summer, the new-build, 30-story, 298-key Moxy Downtown, just off Broadway and steps from the World Trade Center, will boast work spaces, games and entertainment.
Its food and beverage programme will be run by a local F&B partner and feature bespoke cocktails and tailored coffee.
The 349-room Moxy Chelsea will rise 37 storeys high into the NYC skyline.
The Flower District micro-room, macro-amenity hotel will include a flower shop, trattoria, pasticceria and café. The second floor will be devoted to live/work/play spaces, including a bar, meeting studios, co-working lounge, and conservatory. A glass-enclosed rooftop bar will feature views of the Empire State Building.
