Design Hotels has added five new properties to its portfolio of design-led hotels that celebrate creativity, diversity and innovation.

The two US-based additions include The Dwell Hotel in Tennessee, a 16-key boutique address that blends vintage furniture and bold colours, and Scribner's Catskill Lodge in Hunter Mountain, a 38-room lodge overlooking Hudson Valley.

Furthermore, HUUS Gstaad is a 136-room resort in the Swiss Alps with inclusive spaces as well as fine restaurants, a bar, a family area and an adventure lounge.

Overlooking Osawa mountain pass, Satoyama Jujo's 12 guestrooms take inspiration from the priciples of traditional Japenese architecture.

Lastly, Hotel Carlota in Ecuador, with just 12 keys, boasts panoramic views of Quito's UNESCO-listed neighbourhood.
