The Swaziland Tourism Authority (STA) won the 2017 Golden Key Award for the most open public institution in Swaziland. The award was given according to the latest report, Swaziland Transparency Assessment 2017, The Citizens’ Analysis of Government Openness, by the Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA).

During the award-presentation ceremony held at MISA offices, Vuyisile Hlatjwako, country director, MISA, revealed that STA beat seven other public institutions which were sampled to clinch the annual award.

“The aim of the study was to evaluate the openness and transparency of Swazi public institutions as part of our campaign for access to information. Conducted between July and August this year, this study focused on four ministries and four public companies in the Kingdom,” said Hlatjwako.
